WELCOME

Welcome to our Community Council website. The Council's catchment area extends from Caerdeon and the village of Bontddu, past Cwm Mynach and Tai Cynhaeaf, to Llanelltyd as far as Maes Mawr.  These communities lie along the northern bank of the River Mawddach in the old county of Meirionnydd (Merioneth).  There's no getting away from a strong sense of history here; from Stone Age relics to Cymmer Abbey and the Clogau Gold Mine. Beauty abounds in every direction; from the Mawddach estuary to the summits of Diffwys and the Rhinog mountains, and, of course, the splendour of Cader Idris across the river to the south.
